We all have seen the gorvernor of Illinois appoint Burris to be the next junior senator from Illinois. Now a problem occurs in which the democrat leaders refuse to seat Burris. This problem would result in the people of Illinois not having a voice in the United States Senate.
What I mean is that I am disappointed in the methods of the left, or even the whole political spectrum. The Democrats refuse to organize a special election to declare a senator simply because they fear that a republican will win the seat. Why do they need to feel compelled to deny the citizens of Illinois a voice. President-Elect Barack Obama need all of the vote he can get to pass the stimulus package next month and we have at least two or three senate seats that are still vacant.
When will we get pass this party line and truly do what is right for the nation?
